ZMR "Dragon Fly" Tricopter

Targethobby Carbon Fiber QAV210 Quadcopter Kit Review

Fubar 130mm Build (BrotherHobby T1 1407 3600KV, RacerStar 4in1, Flip32 R...

Another 130mm build and this time I am building it with BrotherHobby 1407 3600KV (have heard many good thing from this tiny beast). This will also be the first time I am using a 4in1 ESC.  The arms are a little thin so to keep it's "sexiness" I would to use RacerStar 4in1 20A BLHeli_s....still in waiting for BG tiny FrSky XM receiver to arrive...

Frame: Fubar 130mm

ESC: Racerstar RS20Ax4 V2 20A

Motor: BrotherHobby Tornado T1 1407 3600kV

Additional component use for this build:

FrSky XM receiver
--this is a tiny SBUS receiver which is a plus but does not provide any telemetry (no RSSI back to Taranis but there is a RSSI pin that will feed to the FC for OSD). The antenna is kinda long also....

WS2811 LED (purchase off ebay (2 for the front and 2 for the back, aid with orientation and added "bling"..)

Simple LED bracket

Buzzer

Battery cushion/stick pad

DAL 3045 triblade

Review of RacerStar 2204 2300KV

Edge 100mm brushless quadcopter // drone

Part's list:
Frame: Hack this frame to remove the four corner since I am not using a 30mmx30mm FC. Dremel made quick work.

Mock up of frame with FC and after dremel work...

Motors: RacerStar 1306 4000kv (discontinued I believe)
Motor before soldering to ESC

To make sure the ESC fit on the arm, the motor wire were cut short and solder so that the wires were on the "bottom" of the ESC when mounted

Flight controller: Micro PikoBLX clone from BG. There are a few correction to this FC that I have posted on my BLOG...be careful when wiring this up.

Receiver: Micro FrSky receiver with telemetry. There is a "how-to" on my BLOG to update the firmware to get RSSI and full telemetry for tiny receiver. This is my second one and I am very happy with it so far. To save space and weight, the receiver was mounted under the FC..
